Test Jigs

The JIGs designed and manufactured by Equip-Test are used for testing different connectors on e.g. power-trains, cable-harnesses or on PC-Boards. Our engineers create custom-made JIGs for all testing demands – from low-voltage up to high-current applications. To round up our product portfolio, we also supply cable assemblies. Such cable assemblies consist of the JIG on the one end, which connects to the connector on the UUT (Unit under Test), and a standard industrial connector, used by our client, on the other end.

The life-expectancy of our JIGs is unusually long in comparison to standard connector counterparts, due to the fact that we implement replaceable spring-loaded Test Probes into the JIGs.

All JIGs from Equip-Test are operator friendly, i.e. these are designed and assembled from numerous parts which subsequently ensure easy and fast maintenance.

Depending on the method of operation, we design and manufacture:

• Hand JIGs: Operated by hand by the operator
• Manual JIGs: When the JIG (with replaceable Test Probes) is mounted into a Fixture and an operator contacts the UUT manually.
• Pneumatic JIGs: When the JIG is part of a larger system with e.g. a turn-table or inline unit and the JIG is pushed into the device which must be tested by means of pneumatic activation.
